A Day That Brings People Together
Some days are simply checked off on the calendar. This definitely was not one of them.
Together, as Group Audit (Audit Retail Non Lending and Audit Asset Management), we had the opportunity to attend the second day of the Special Olympics, with Vienna serving as this year's host city. After just a few minutes, it was clear that this would be a very special day. During an engaging tour, where we were introduced to the various sports and athletes, it quickly became apparent how much dedication, passion, and organization go into making this event possible.
Of course, we enthusiastically cheered on the athletes. And to be honest, it did not take long for their energy and enthusiasm to become contagious.
The absolute highlight for us was the Unified Teams Experience. Playing a round of boccia together with the athletes, sharing laughs, and encouraging one another was something truly special. Let's just say that some of us unexpectedly discovered a hidden talent for boccia. But more importantly, it was about connection, openness, and being together.
We went home with many wonderful memories, big smiles, and the realization that inclusion is at its best when it is experienced together.
A big thank you to Sebastian Zenker (0398 EB) from Sports Sponsorship EBOe and the Time Bank for organizing this event and for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a special day.
