Community Cooking: Teamwork that matters

Last Friday, we had the opportunity to volunteer for the Community Cooking initiative together with members of the Transformation Office. The idea of combining team time with helping people in need really motivated us to take part. It felt especially fulfilling to know that our efforts would directly support a good cause while also being an enjoyable shared experience.

During the activity, our main task was to prepare around 150 portions of curry and crumble cake. The overall experience was very positive and rewarding. Everyone working there was incredibly open, welcoming, and fun, which made the atmosphere relaxed and engaging. We particularly enjoyed talking with them, learning more about their roles, and gaining a better understanding of the organization and its mission.

Through this activity, we also learned how to cook curry and crumble cake, which was a great bonus. Most importantly, we believe our participation had a meaningful impact, as the children we cooked for will be able to enjoy healthy and delicious meals. Knowing that our work contributed to something so tangible and valuable made the entire experience truly worthwhile.
