Social Activities at the GGP Alumni meeting

At this year's alumni meeting of the Group Graduate Programme, the organisers (graduates of the class of 2018) decided to integrate social activities into the programme alongside networking and fun. The clear aim was to actively give something back to society, in line with our Statement of Purpose.

Participants were able to sign up for one of three activities:

  • Constructing a willow fence for the "Am Himmel" day centre for the disabled
  • Cooking for the homeless in the "Second Crypt"
  • Excursion with residents of the "Seeböckgasse" care home to the Hirschstetten flower garden

A total of 35 alumni from various Erste Group units worked diligently on the projects.

The feedback from Gerhard Kohlmeyer, Caritas, is representative of everyone else:

"Despite the unfavourable weather, we were able to erect almost half of the planned fence and the "indoor group" also bottled a lot of liqueurs, washed bottles and labelled products from our preserving group. Your employees really helped us a lot, and there was also time for interesting conversations and a bit of fun."
