As part of this year's team activity, we made a joint contribution to environmental protection through a cleanup initiative on the Old Danube. The event was organized in collaboration with the Time Bank (Sabine Sturm), and we are especially proud to have been the first team in Vienna to take part in this format.

The day began with an inspiring introduction by Atti, Lead Coordinator, River Cleanup Expert, and founder of the Plastic Cup Initiative, along with his dedicated team. They gave us fascinating insights into their work and highlighted the importance of protecting waterways and promoting sustainable action. 🌱

A special thank you also goes to our Brand Management team (Maja Koelich 0501 EB, Michael Daxner 0398 EB, and Sebastian Zenker 0398 EB) for providing the "Believe in Yourself" T-shirts. They made our team spirit visible and reflected our shared commitment to taking responsibility.

Afterwards, we headed out onto the water in kayaks and canoes. Our mission was to collect litter from in and around the Old Danube. Before long, we had already found plastic and glass bottles, along with various other types of waste. Despite the summer heat, motivation, commitment, and positive energy remained high throughout the day. ☀️

Besides enjoying lunch together, one of the day's highlights was spotting an impressive catfish, captured on underwater footage. 🐟

Particularly in the less frequented areas of the Old Danube, we were able to collect significant amounts of waste. The journey back against the current was another reminder of what can be achieved through teamwork.

Our conclusion: This initiative was far more than just a team event. It brought together sustainability, social responsibility, and team spirit in a meaningful way and demonstrated that every contribution makes a difference. ♻️
