Group Audit Gets Involved – 2,100 New Trees for the Future!
On November 4, our teams from Retail Non-Lending and Asset Management set off together for the Waldviertel region. Not for relaxation, but to create something lasting together. We planted trees.
The day started early: at 6:50 a.m., the bus was ready, and with coffee in hand and excitement in our hearts, we departed at 7:00 a.m. There was even a small breakfast on the bus – the first boost for a day that challenged us not only physically but also as a team.
Around 9:00 a.m., we arrived in Waldkirchen, where the initiative Waldsetzen.Jetzt was waiting for us. The mission: 2,100 trees for a good cause. Sounds like a lot? It was! But with gloves, earth augers, and a healthy dose of team spirit, we gave it our all.
In between, we enjoyed a snack of homemade spreads, fresh bread, drinks, and much more – all provided by the lovely local farmers. A real highlight that felt like a reward after the hard work.
What remains from this day?
- A forest that will grow. Every tree we planted is a small contribution against climate change and for the future.
- A team that grew closer. Among soil, roots, and lots of laughter, we realized that together we can not only accomplish projects in the office but also create an entire forest.
The return trip was quiet – not just because we were tired, but because we were content. At 6:00 p.m., we were back on campus with muddy shoes but a great feeling.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and to Time Bank for this unforgettable day. Above all, we are grateful to nature, which showed us that sometimes all it takes is a little time and a strong team to make something big happen. 🌱
